Asbury invites students in grades 7-12 to Fathom Student Ministries. With Fathom, teenagers can find community, pursue Christ together, and be who you are! Together, we walk with students on your paths to become disciples of Jesus who are grounded in prayer and sent on mission. Come visit us in the Five Points building on Asbury’s campus for a tour of Fathom’s home. Consider yourself officially invited to be a part of the Fathom family!
Fathom weekly events are open to any student in 7th-12th grade. We are generally kickin’ it [psst parents: meaning it’s where we meet] in and around the Five Points youth building at Asbury Church.
During Sunday Morning Fathom, we gather from 9:15 – 10:15 to explore the Bible together over breakfast snacks.
For Sunday Night Fathom, we have a snack supper together [$5] before one our Fathom leaders shares teaching and we spend time in our Fathom Groups.
Then on Thursdays, we take time during Open Gym from 3:30 – 5 p.m. to play, snack, chill, paint, and chat.
The more the merrier, so bring your friends too!
We hold many special events, mission experiences, and retreats throughout the year. As these different events and mission opportunities arrive throughout the year, you can found out more information and register online on our Fathom Events page here.
Somewhere we heard that it is not good for man to be alone, so we gather in groups on Sunday nights to have fun, share life, love one another, and seek God’s desire for our lives. Every group has a couple of leaders whose role is to love students, minister to them, facilitate community, and teach biblical truth. In order for every student to have their community and messages tailored to their maturity, intellect, and life stage, groups are broken down by grade and gender: 7th grade boys, 7th grade girls, 8th grade boys, etc… We fully believe that Fathom Groups are the best way for us to walk alongside, grow, and support our students and we do everything we can to make it a great experience for them. Email us for more info on joining a group.
Students in grades 8th-12th are encouraged to learn how they can disciple their peers through experience, service, and practice. There will be other leaders who will train and assist you in these roles. We also invite adults who are following Jesus and want to walk alongside students on their individual paths of discipleship to serve. Click here to see a a list of ways you can serve in Fathom.
Confirmation is the process for new believers to affirm the faith they already have in Christ and develop basic understanding about Jesus, His teachings, and the function of the Church. This process is a tradition in which children and students can become members of the church if they affirm their commitment to Christ and the Christian faith. Click here for more information on Fathom’s Confirmation.
