Have you ever wondered if there’s more to life than what you are experiencing now, struggled with what you believe, or had a hard time articulating what you believe? If you answered yes to any of these questions, we invite you to come to Alpha at Asbury.
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, run over seven weeks. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone is welcome. Alpha meets in coffee houses, churches, homes, and just about anywhere; no two Alphas usually look the same, but they generally have three key things in common: food, a talk, and good conversation.
WHO IS ALPHA FOR?
Alpha is for anyone who’s curious. The talks are designed to encourage conversation and explore life, spirituality and the foundations of the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish.
HOW DOES ALPHA WORK?
Our Fall 2019 Alpha series will run for seven weeks. Each session includes food, a talk, a discussion at the end where you can share your thoughts, and time to enjoy an after-party to get to know one another more. Alpha begins a conversation around the big issues of faith and unpacks the basics of Christianity, addressing questions such as Who is Jesus? and How can I have faith? Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation.
