SERVING SNAPSHOT

Our Missions teams come together to experience what it means to live on mission as we pursue purposeful life with others next door and around the world for Kingdom impact. We cultivate intentional partnerships with ministries and organizations locally and globally who help people experience the abundant life Jesus has for them. By living on mission together, we unite to serve our partners and serve our communities in a way that helps them encounter the love of God in Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.

SERVING AREAS

Adoption & Foster Care Support Offering support for families and kids who are impacted by foster care or are looking to create a forever family is a way that you can tangibly share the love of our heavenly Father with his children.

Car Maintenance Know how to change oil? Perform your own car maintenance? Share your skills with widows, spouses of the deployed, and single women in our community by serving as part of our annual oil change days.

Food Assistance Did you know that thirteen percent of people right here in Madison County are in need of food assistance? You can help meet that need by packing food boxes or weekend school bags, serving meals to those experiencing homelessness, growing food in the Asbury Garden, or by gleaning crops to help meet food insecurity needs.

Global & Domestic Mission Trips Participating as a leader or member of a mission trip whether it’s across county or state lines or in another country is a way to see how God is at work through our partners around the world, and to support their efforts through short term experiences.

Hospitality Sometimes all it takes to help people take a step closer to Jesus is just a willingness to share good hospitality. It can be as simple as being a friend to marginalized groups such as immigrants, those experiencing homelessness, and/or people with disabilities. Like sharing a meal with people? You can also help prepare or provide a meal for adult GED or job skills students.

Mentoring & Tutoring Helping kids & adults learn and grow is a great way to build a solid foundation to help them succeed in life and grow in faith. Whether you enjoy helping students with homework or cultivating leadership skills, you can make a difference through tutoring or mentoring.

Mission Prayer Team We believe in the power of prayer to transform lives. Join one of our mission prayer teams to intercede on behalf of our partners as they work to share the gospel both locally and globally. Not only will they be encouraged to know we are joining with them in faith, but together we can seek the Lord’s power to overcome obstacles that stand in their way of growing His kingdom.

Organizing When people make clothing donations to our local thrift stores, a lot of work has to happen between dropping of the items and when someone gets to receive the donation on the other end. Helping to sort through these donations can make these efforts even more beneficial for everyone involved.

Recovery Support When people find themselves in life-altering circumstances, having caring people walk alongside them can help them take steps forward into experiencing true life transformation in Christ. Serving with local recovery programs that prepare people to transition into successful lives out of homelessness or prison can be life-changing for both you and those you impact.

Worship Services┬áSeveral of our partners host worship services as part of their ministries, and have opportunities for being part of the music team as well as sharing God’s Word through times of teaching.
