GIFTS OF HOPE
GIFTS OF HOPE
Our Gifts of Hope season of giving is one of our favorite times of year! This special focus leading up to the holidays provides tangible opportunities for us to generously share our resources and God’s love to families and kids right next door and around the world.
Through packing nights with our Kids & Students ministries, collections from Asbury Weekday, going on your own family shopping trips, participating with your Life Group, or making a digital contribution, giving the gift of hope is a way we can make a big Kingdom difference as the Asbury family.
Last year in 2022, we impacted over 2,400 families by packing 700 food boxes for families in our communities, collecting 693 shoeboxes to send around the world, and raising funds for 1,131 Greatest Journey discipleship programs.
Whether you choose to give a physical or a digital gift, we are eagerly anticipating what the Lord will do through each of our collections as we share the gift of hope.

Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes
DUE BY NOVEMBER 19
Let a child know they aren’t forgotten and how much God loves them. Pick up a shoebox on campus, find your own, or fill one digitally with fun and practical items for kids around the world. Attach the boy/girl label to the top of your shoebox. Please include $10 for shipping INSIDE your box, or pay for and track your box online. Find out more info about packing nights with Asbury Kids and Asbury Students on Nov. 12.

Bring your shoebox(es) back to church by November 19 so we can meet the national collection deadline.
The Greatest Journey
DUE BY DECEMBER 3
When Samaritan’s Purse distributes shoeboxes, they offer the Greatest Journey Discipleship program to build on their connections and share the hope of the Gospel. Grab a gold Greatest Journey envelope from any Guest Services desk or receptionist desk on campus, fill it with $6 (or multiples for how many kids you’d like to impact!), and return it to the buckets at the collection points. You can also give digitally by selecting the Gifts of Hope fund here.

Holiday Food Boxes
DUE NOVEMBER 12 & DECEMBER 3
Help provide food for families in our community this Thanksgiving and Christmas. Grab a cardboard food box from campus and bring it back filled with items on the attached packing lists for both the Madison & Harvest Campuses. Thanksgiving boxes are due by November 12; Christmas boxes are due by December 3.
Join the Support Team
Besides packing boxes, additional volunteer support is needed throughout the season to move boxes that are received to the storage area, help load shoeboxes onto the truck, double check food box contents, write notes to put inside, and deliver the boxes to families in our community. Participate Digitally
Not able to participate in person? You can give digitally to support all Gifts of Hope efforts. Click below to give now by selecting the Gifts of Hope fund.
