Look around you.
It can be overwhelming when we watch the news, see the statistics, and experience the
brokenness of this life. We are often tempted to hide away from the darkness, but God has
called us to step into it, to be a light to the world that desperately needs it. But why?
The book of Jonah reveals the heart of God for all people–a heart filled with mercy and
motivated by love. Throughout this three-week series, we will discover the postures of
prayer that permeate the story of Jonah and discover how we too can reach our own
Ninevehs by learning how to mirror the heart of our Savior.
Just as Jonah experienced many ups and downs along the way, we too sometimes
imperfectly reflect God’s heart. Yet, through it all God’s mercy prevails; a mercy that is still
set on saving all people; a mercy that is calling us to share Him with the world. It can start
with us and with our city, right here and right now. Will you heed the call?
