Covenant

Begun by John Wesley in 1775, the covenant renewal service has endured through the centuries as a beacon of faith and time of deeper awakening to God in churches and Christian communities. On January 4, we will come together at our normal service times and locations to worship and renew our sacred covenant with God. As we stand on the threshold of this new year, we will embrace repentance, confession, and hope, forging ahead as a church family with hearts realigned and committed to Christ.

Begun by John Welsey in 1775, a covenant service is a practice that continues in churches and Christian communities today, often near the beginning of the New Year. On December 31, we will gather at one service time in each venue to worship and focus on renewing our convenant to God as we approach the new year with repentance, confession, and hope as a church family.
