Life Questions

What do you see when you open your eyes? The never-ending struggle or valley? A reflection of a person you think God could never choose? Or do you dare to believe that there is something beyond what we can see and understand? Our perspectives shape our entire life; if we want to be a people awakened to God, then we must learn to see how God sees.


During this 8-week series we will be journeying through the Psalms of David—an unlikely man chosen by God to articulate the depths of human existence through the lens of Heaven. Through these teachings we will be fighting the instinct to trust only what we can see and instead learn how we can see through God’s eyes amid all we face. Waking up starts with opening our eyes; if we want to awaken to God, we must keep our eyes wide open.

Did you answer that email? Get that assignment done? Don’t forget that appointment! There are chores to be done, places to go, work to complete, and a finish line that seems ever moving. The busyness in our lives and monologue in our minds can be
relentless. Is life supposed to feel anxious, rushed, and overwhelming?


Lent is a time of reflection as we approach Easter. During this six-week series we will take time to slow down and see the things we are called to throw off so that we may fully embrace the things of Jesus. Creating space to grow our faith can seem impossible amidst schedules threatening to collapse on us, but this countercultural rhythm of rest is what leads us to abundant life. There is more for us, but we must make room to receive it—will you create space to more fully embrace God’s love?

No matter where you’re at in life, you probably have had some pretty big questions come up. People often try to answer based on life experience, but that doesn’t always answer these questions in full. Let’s take a deeper look together and see how God’s Word is the source of truth that can shine light into each of these areas.
