Jesus has taught us that prayer is to be an essential part of our everyday lives, not just something reserved for Sunday mornings. Prayer is about staying in touch with God in day-to-day living. It’s about trusting that God wants us to bring our needs and concerns to Him.

Because prayer was foundational in the earthly life of Jesus, we at Asbury seek to make prayer a priority for our individual and community lives. It is our desire that we grow from people who may pray on occasion to those who engage the continual presence of God throughout the day.

There are 3 broad areas of prayer ministry at Asbury:

  • If you need prayer, we would love the opportunity to pray for you individually. Click here to submit an online prayer request and a member of our prayer team will distribute your request to a Prayer Minister according to your privacy selection. On a weekly basis, we are delighted to pray with/for you at any of our Sunday morning worship services, when we have a focused time to pray for individuals during worship. You may also receive prayer in the Hope Chapel on Sunday nights at 6pm, at our Tuesday Traditional Worship/Prayer and Holy Communion service at 8:30am, or at our Thursday Night Prayer service at 6pm. If you need additional Care support, please visit our Care page for more information on how we can walk alongside you.
  • If you would like to serve on a prayer team, please click here to see all of our opportunities and to let us know of your interest in serving.
  • If you wish to be a part of a prayer group where you can learn more about how to pray or join in praying with others, click here to see a list of all our Groups. You can easily find our prayer-focused groups by typing “prayer” into the search field in the top right hand corner of the screen.
